GARY JULES AND THE GROUP RULES ****
Bird.
CD Baby (http://www.cdbaby.com)
Oyez , oyez!
À ranger juste après “Greetings From The Side”, “Trading Snakeoil For Wolftickets” et “Gary Jules”, tous disponibles.

The translation might have a few rough spots, but it shouldn’t cause any international conflicts.

Down Up Down.
Hear, Hear! How can we remain deaf to such an artist? At the release of his album “Trading Snakeoil For Wolftickets” (which appeared same in our beautiful country), his second album from 2001, Gary Jules was announced as part of the great songwriters of tomorrow. Since, “Snakeoil” was found in the discount bins, Gary has published “Gary Jules” in 2006 and remains unknown in France. Is this the price to pay for someone who has made the choice of independence (his new album is available only as downloads or at CD Baby)? Fortunately, Gary Jules is a little more well known in his country and in our neighbors where he appears more regularly. And, moreover, regardless of the answer to this question. Gary, who has just celebrated his 40th year, releases “Bird” today. Accompanied by the Group Rules: Heather Brown-Dodge (Esquimaux), Will Golden (Meiko, Buddy), Ed Maxwell (The Devics, Pedestrian), Ben Peeler (Wallflowers, Mavericks, Shakira) and Al Sgro (Holly Conlan, Meiko, Buddy). And this album confirms that we are dealing with an artist, a singer and songwriter of the first league. Nine subtly crafted melodies, of folk pop arrangements with great finesse, at least two songs I immediately want to hum and, nonetheless resist repeated listening (Beautiful and Little Greenie/Bird), a duet with Jim Bianco (Been A Long Time), you need more? Inspired texts, crystal clear and sensitive voice, if that’s it, you have it. So please, listen to Gary Jules. Listen to “Bird.” (visit his myspace, for example), do not pass aside this time!
To store just after “Greetings From The Side”, “Trading Snakeoil For Wolftickets” and “Gary Jules”, all available.
